Kuala lumpur: Flash floods that hit two villages here over the past three days have fully receded, with the only temporary relief centre (PPS) closed this afternoon. Johor State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman announced that the relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Penerok, which was opened on Oct 19, was closed at 2 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the relief centre had housed 53 residents from 14 families as of noon. The affected villages were Kampung Makam Penerok and Kampung Parit Bugis. Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman added that no rivers in Johor are currently at warning or alert levels, and the weather across all districts has been reported as clear.
