KTMB Adds 46,000 EMUPlus Tickets for Chinese New Year Holiday

Kuala lumpur: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is providing an additional 46,000 EMUPlus train tickets to meet high demand during the Chinese New Year holiday. KTMB chief operating officer Afzar Zakariya announced this initiative following the sell-out of an initial 132,000 tickets for travel between February 13 and 22.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Afzar Zakariya stated that the extra tickets have been available for purchase since midnight last night to accommodate passenger needs during the festive period. The increase in capacity is facilitated by the arrival of seven out of ten new ETS3 train sets and the introduction of the additional EMUPlus service for the KL Sentral-Ipoh route. This particular route, which lasts three hours and 15 minutes, is priced at RM35.

Afzar further mentioned that the JB Sentral-KL Sentral route is among the most popular in the ETS network. This route is significant as it connects important economic and tourism centers, including Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru, and Singapore.
