Sepang: Korea Polo Korea Polo finished third in the 2026 Johor Super Crown Polo Tournament (JSCPT) after defeating J-Corp in the third- and fourth-place playoff at the Royal Polo Field, Istana Pasir Pelangi, here today. Korea Polo secured a 5-4 victory over J-Corp, bringing their campaign in the 22-goal tournament to a close.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Korea Polo's victory came from three accurate strikes from Matias Mac Donough Jr, followed by a goal each from Pablo Mac Donough and David Ko. J-Corp scored through Marcos 'Cacu' Araya, who produced a long-range strike that found the target with two minutes remaining in the first chukka, followed by goals from Gonzalo Pieres, Datuk Quzier Ambak and Ignaciozs Figueras.

Royal Johor are scheduled to face Temasek in the JSCPT 2026 final tomorrow. Royal Johor yesterday confirmed their place in the final after recording a 9-5 victory over J-Corp in the semi-final. The Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, who began playing in the fourth chukka, contributed three of Royal Johor's goals in the match. Tunku Ismail gave a performance despite suffering a hand injury. Royal Johor, who also featured world polo star Pablo 'Polito' Pieres, used their tactics to maintain their dominance in the tournament.

JSCPT 2026, which runs from Sept 1 to 6, brings together five teams featuring international players: Royal Johor, Temasek, Korea Polo, J-Corp, and Digital Bridge. The tournament is the highest-handicap polo competition ever organised in Malaysia. JSCPT 2026 has also put Johor on the international sports map through the participation of players who have previously competed in global tournaments such as the Argentine Open.
