Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly higher on Wednesday, reflecting movements in the cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the July 2026 contract increased by four points to 1,721.0. Similarly, the August 2026 and December contracts each gained three points, closing at 1,721.0 and 1,703.5, respectively. However, the September 2026 contract witnessed a decline, falling 17 points to 1,700.5.
The turnover for the day saw an increase, reaching 6,297 lots compared to 5,802 on Wednesday. Open interest also rose slightly, standing at 45,316 contracts from the previous count of 45,095.
At the close of the trading session at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI itself rose by 3.22 points, reaching 1,714.59, up from Wednesday's close of 1,711.37.
