KLCI Futures Record Decline Across Contracts

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended in the red on Thursday, impacting all contract months.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, both the August 2026 and September 2026 contracts decreased by 21 points, settling at 1,734.0 and 1,711.5, respectively. Similarly, the December 2026 and March 2027 contracts saw a decline of 19.5 points each, closing at 1,713.5 and 1,698.5, respectively.

The market experienced a reduction in turnover, which fell to 8,228 lots from 11,060 the previous day. Open interest also saw a dip, decreasing to 49,428 contracts from 51,278 contracts previously.

As the trading day concluded at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI dropped 11.02 points to end at 1,737.15, down from Wednesday's close of 1,748.17.
