KLCI Futures Open Lower as Trading Resumes

Kuala lumpur: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts opened lower on Friday. At 9.30 am, the December 2025 and January 2026 contracts fell 6.5 points to 1,677.0 and 1,681.5, respectively. The March 2026 contract lost 7.0 points to 1,665.0, and the June 2026 contract decreased by 11 points to 1,665.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover was recorded at 4,170 lots, with open interest at 45,566 contracts. The benchmark FBM KLCI dropped 4.70 points to 1,673.61 after 47 minutes of trading, compared with Wednesday's close of 1,678.31. The market was closed yesterday in observance of Christmas Day.
