KLCI Futures Open Higher Despite Weaker Cash Market Performance

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures opened higher on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Monday, despite a weaker performance in the underlying cash market. At 9.40 am, June 2026 increased three points to 1,719.0, while July 2026, September 2026, and December 2026 were 4.5 points better at 1,721.50, 1,701.50, and 1,701.50, respectively.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover stood at 2,116 lots, while open interest totalled 33,852 contracts. By 9.55 am, the benchmark index was down 2.11 points to 1,709.92 from last Friday's close of 1,712.03.
