Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Tuesday, reflecting movements in the underlying cash market. At the close, the February 2026 contract slipped 4.5 points to settle at 1,751.5. The March 2026 contract decreased by 5.5 points, closing at 1,727.5. The June 2026 contract saw a reduction of six points to end at 1,731.5, while the September 2026 contract fell by 5.5 points to 1,719.0.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover increased significantly, with 57,795 lots traded compared to 24,348 lots on Monday. Additionally, open interest saw a rise, reaching 98,281 contracts from the previous 63,276 contracts. At the 5 pm close, the FBM KLCI recorded a decline of 3.97 points, or 0.23 percent, settling at 1,754.01, compared to the previous day's close of 1,757.98.
