Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower, consistent with the weaker underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, January 2026 futures were 14.5 points lower at 1,695.5. February 2025 and March 2026 futures each decreased by 12.0 points to 1,701.5 and 1,683.0, respectively, while June 2026 futures slipped 13.0 points to 1,687.0.
The turnover increased to 5,928 lots from 5,044 lots recorded yesterday. Meanwhile, open interest climbed to 40,928 contracts from 39,558 previously. By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI had fallen 13.27 points, or 0.77 per cent, to 1,699.06, compared to the previous close of 1,712.33.
