Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mixed on Wednesday. The September 2026 contract rose 10.5 points to 1,681.5, while the October 2026 contract remained unchanged at 1,680.5. The December 2026 contract saw an increase of 5.0 points, closing at 1,686.0, whereas the March 2027 contract declined by 15 points, settling at 1,671.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover for the day dipped to 6,414 lots from 6,573 lots recorded on Tuesday. Open interest was also lower, with 44,138 contracts compared to 44,267 contracts previously. At the end of the trading day, the FBM KLCI eased slightly by 0.06 of a point, or 0.003 percent, to close at 1,714.34, down from Tuesday's close of 1,714.40.
