Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded mostly lower on Tuesday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the August 2026 and December 2026 contracts both decreased by one point to 1,724.5 and 1,704.0, respectively. The September 2026 contract slightly declined by 0.5 of a point to 1,704.0, whereas the March 2027 contract saw a gain of 1.5 points, closing at 1,686.5.
The market experienced an increase in turnover, rising to 9,608 lots from the previous 4,760 lots on Monday. Open interest also saw an upward movement, reaching 44,960 contracts compared to the previous 40,647 contracts.
At the closing time of 5 pm, the FBM KLCI itself rose by 7.47 points, closing at 1,733.36 in comparison to Monday's close of 1,725.89.
