Kuala Lumpur:The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Tuesday, as all contracts experienced declines.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the September 2026 contract dropped 24.5 points to settle at 1,637.0, while the October 2026 contract fell 29 points to 1,632.0. The December 2026 contract decreased by 25 points to 1,641.5, and the March 2027 contract slipped 24 points to end at 1,626.5.
Trading activity saw a decline in turnover, dropping to 31,168 lots from 73,636 lots on Monday. Open interest also decreased significantly to 72,700 contracts compared to 125,759 contracts previously.
By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI itself had fallen 26.06 points, or 1.56 percent, to 1,643.96, down from the previous day's close of 1,670.02.
