Former FELDA Officer to Face Charges in KLVC Project Case

Kuala Lumpur:The former senior officer of the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), investigated for alleged misappropriation in the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) project, is set to be charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court tomorrow.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the charge will be presented in Criminal Sessions Court 14 at 900 am, presided over by Judge Suzana Hussin. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) confirmed it has obtained approval to proceed with the charges against the former officer.

On September 25, MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman announced that the individual would be charged under Section 420 of the Penal Code. This charge is part of a broader investigation into FELDA and FELDA Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC), involving seven investigation papers€ix new and one previousfocused on asset purchases and investments from 2010 to 2020. These investigations are scrutinizing potential corruption, misappropriation, and abuse of power.
