KLCI Futures Close Mostly Lower Amid Weaker Cash Market

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mostly lower, aligning with the weaker underlying cash market. At the end of trading, January 2026 remained unchanged at 1,710.0. February 2025 saw a decrease of 1.5 points, settling at 1,713.5. March 2026 futures eased by 2.0 points to close at 1,695.0, while June 2026 futures declined by 0.5 points to 1,700.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover decreased to 5,044 lots, down from 6,276 lots recorded last Friday. Open interest also saw a slight decline, registering at 39,558 contracts compared to the previous 41,095 contracts. By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased by 0.41 of-a-point to 1,712.33, compared to last Friday's close of 1,712.74.
