Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Thursday, mirroring the steady performance of the cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the May 2026 contract added 6.5 points to 1,770.0, while the June 2026 contract gained 6.5 points to 1,769.0. The September 2026 contract expanded by 5.0 points to 1,749.0, and the December 2026 contract climbed 2.0 points, settling at 1,749.0.
Turnover increased to 8,756 lots from 8,083 lots the previous day, indicating heightened trading activity. Open interest also improved to 41,372 contracts from 39,698 contracts previously, reflecting a growing market interest.
At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose by 1.98 points, or 0.11 percent, to 1,758.85, up from Wednesday's close of 1,756.87.
