KL, Labuan, and 10 Malaysian States Brace for Thunderstorms Until 6 PM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and ten other states, expected to last until 6 pm this evening.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the severe weather conditions will impact all of Perlis. In Kedah, the districts of Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu are anticipated to experience the storms, alongside Seberang Perai Selatan in Penang.

In Perak, residents in Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, and Kampar should prepare for adverse weather. Similarly, Kelantan's Jeli and Tanah Merah, and Terengganu's Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman are on alert.

The warning extends to Pahang, affecting Cameron Highlands, Lipis, and Kuantan, and in Selangor, it includes Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Petaling.

Sarawak's districts of Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian, Samarahan, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi) are also forecast to face similar weather conditions. In Sabah, the areas on alert include the Interior (Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, and Tambunan), West Coast, Tawau (Tawau, Kunak, and Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Sandakan), and Kudat.
