Kuala lumpur: His Majesty, Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia today expressed his happy birthday wishes to the Sultan of Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. In a gesture reflecting the strong diplomatic ties between the two nations, Sultan Ibrahim conveyed his heartfelt wishes to his Brunei counterpart.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a post on the Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, His Majesty also prayed that Allah SWT blesses the Sultan of Brunei with happiness and long life. This public display of affection and respect underscores the camaraderie and mutual respect shared by the two monarchs.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, a prominent figure in Southeast Asia, was born on July 15, 1946, in Bandar Brunei (now known as Bandar Seri Begawan). He ascended to the throne as the 29th Sultan of Brunei in 1967. Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah holds the distinction of being the longest-reigning monarch in the world.
