Johor bahru: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has conferred the Darjah Sultan Ibrahim Johor Yang Amat Disanjungi Pangkat Yang Kedua, Dato' Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Johor (DMIJ) award on six recipients.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a post on the Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar revealed that Johor Islamic Corporation (PIJ) general manager Datin Paduka Shubanah Yusuf led the group of honorees. The DMIJ distinction carries the esteemed titles of 'Datuk' and 'Datin Paduka'.
Other distinguished recipients include Johor Islamic Religious Department director Datuk Nasri Md Ali, Johor Islamic Religious Council chief executive officer Datuk Radzi Mohd Amin, and Iskandar Puteri mayor Datuk Hasrin Kamal Hashim. Johor Land and Mines director Datuk Mohammed Shakib Ali and Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk M. Kumar were also awarded the DMIJ honour.
Sultan Ibrahim graciously consented to confer these prestigious honours and medals in conjunction with His Majesty's Official Birthday celebration on March 23. The conferment ceremony was led by the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, at the Investiture Ceremony for the districts of Johor Bahru, Pontian, Kota Tinggi, and Kulai, held at the Iskandar Puteri City Council Main Hall today.
The ceremony was attended by notable figures such as Tunku Temenggong of Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Panglima of Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Putera of Johor Tunku Abu Bakar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, and Tunku Besar Zabedah Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.
Additionally, the event saw 27 recipients honoured with the Pingat Lama dan Baik Dalam Perkhidmatan (PLP), 21 recipients with the Pingat Jasa Dan Lama Dalam Pekerjaan (PJP), 48 recipients with the Pingat Sultan Ibrahim Pangkat Kedua, and 12 recipients with the Pingat Sultan Ibrahim Pangkat Ketiga.
