KUCHING: The Kenyalang Journalism Awards 2024 is set to be held on Dec 14 with the Sarawak Government as the platinum sponsor with RM100,000 sponsorship for the Premier Award and Digital Economy category.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kuching Division Journalists Association (KDJA) president Ronnie Teo Teck Wei announced that Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), Sarawak Energy, and Shell Malaysia continue to support the awards as Gold Sponsors. Each has pledged RM50,000 to sponsor the Community Well-being Journalism Award, Sustainability Journalism Award, and Business and Economy Reporting Award, respectively.
This year, KDJA is pleased to introduce two new Gold Sponsors. Press Metal will sponsor the News Reporting Award category, and Yayasan Peneraju will sponsor the Broadcasting Journalism Award category. Additional corporate sponsorships are provided by Affin Bank, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) Energy, Citadel, and SOCOE.

rate outstanding journalists are made possible through the invaluable support of all sponsors. He noted that these sponsorships not only honor journalists’ achievements but also inspire them to continue their pursuit of truth, fairness, and accountability in their reporting.
