KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan Immigration Department has deported 80 foreigners from the Tanah Merah depot to their countries of origin via the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) today. The operation involved individuals aged between 18 and 62.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the department’s deputy director, Nik Akhtarulhaq Nik Abdul Rahman, stated that the deported individuals included 50 Myanmar nationals, 29 Vietnamese citizens, and one Indonesian. These individuals were found to have violated the Immigration Act 1959/63 and the Immigration Regulations 1963.
The deputy director further noted that all of the deported persons have been blacklisted in the department’s system based on their offenses. This move is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to enforce immigration laws and maintain security.
