KBS Committed To Inclusive Development Of Young Athletes

Tumpat: The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) is committed to further strengthening the development of young national athletes in a fair, inclusive, and holistic manner, says its Deputy Minister Mordi Bimol. He emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities for all young athletes to develop, regardless of their background, race, or place of origin.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the story of young athletes such as national wushu exponent Jazmin Alag highlights the strong fighting spirit among the new generation of Malaysian sports talent. Jazmin's achievements serve as an inspiration for many youths to strive for success, despite facing challenges. Jazmin is notably the country's first Indian female wushu athlete to win a gold medal at the 9th World Kungfu Championships in China in 2023.

Mordi Bimol stated that KBS will ensure that more young talents have the opportunity to grow and are not excluded from the national sports development system. He mentioned that strategic cooperation with sports associations, state governments, and the private sector will be strengthened to enhance athlete development. Mordi stressed that no talent should be sidelined if they possess the discipline, ability, and determination to succeed.
