SHAH ALAM, Leading insurer, Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (Prudential Assurance) and Prudence Foundation introduced financial education to 700 pupils from five primary schools in Klang through Karnival Cha-Ching today.
Prudential said in a statement that the pupils learned about essential financial concepts, namely ‘Earn, Save, Spend and Donate’ via fun and interactive activities.
“The students were guided by 50 volunteers from Prudential and the state legislative members office,” the company said.
The carnival, launched today at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Perempuan Klang, is part of Prudential’s corporate responsibility goals to build financial resilience among Malaysian children and adults.
The company also stated its commitment to host another four Karnival Cha-Ching events in Penang, Sabah, Sarawak and Johor, as it aims to reach out to 3,000 pupils from 30 primary schools.
Prudential’s financial literacy programme, Cha-Ching, is catered for children or primary school pupils between the age
s of seven and 11, and has been implemented through the Prudence Foundation since 2014.
