Kuala lumpur: The Kangar Bersatu division deputy chief, Faisol Rahman, along with the division committee and 90 of its 99 branch chiefs, has announced their immediate resignation from the party. This significant move also includes the departure of the division's Armada, Srikandi, and Srikandi Muda leadership, comprising Armada Kangar deputy chief Mohd Firdaus Ismail and all Armada committee members.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Faisol Rahman stated during a press conference in Kuala Perlis that this decision does not affect any Bersatu Members of Parliament or state assemblymen within the division's committee. He emphasized that the decision was made after thorough consideration of current developments and the sentiments of grassroots members who have lost confidence in the central leadership.

Faisol expressed that the party's direction, organizational management, and leadership approach no longer align with the aspirations of leaders at the division and branch levels. He highlighted the importance of trust between party leadership and grassroots members, noting that its erosion necessitated a clear stance.

The group announced their plans to join Parti Wawasan Negara, led by Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin. Meanwhile, Perlis Bersatu leadership body chief Izizam Ibrahim viewed the resignations positively, considering them an opportunity for effective restructuring to strengthen the party in the state. Izizam clarified that under Bersatu's constitution, resignations or vacancies do not dissolve a division but prompt the formation of a new committee to restructure leadership.
