Kuala Lumpur:The Public Service Department (JPA) has announced that the results for the 2026 Dermasiswa B40 (DB40) Programme are now accessible. Applicants can verify their results on the JPA sponsorship portal at https//penajaan.jpa.gov.my from 5 pm on October 13 until 5 pm on October 22.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 2026 DB40 Programme has offered 8,054 sponsorship slots to 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) school leavers from low-income families. This initiative supports students in pursuing diploma studies at selected local higher education institutions.

The sponsorship covers studies in fields such as engineering, technical, science, social sciences, arts, and architecture at public universities and polytechnics. Additionally, it supports diploma programmes in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) at MARA TVET institutions and public skills training institutions (ILKA).

The programme focuses on areas with high employability prospects to produce skilled graduates who meet industry demands. It also aims to enhance students' standard of living and contribute to national development.

Introduced in 2016, the DB40 initiative is designed to help B40 family students continue their education by easing their financial burden. The selection process considers academic performance, socioeconomic background, and eligibility in designated fields of study.

Applicants are urged to check their results via the JPA portal before the deadline. JPA continues to support inclusive and targeted sponsorship to expand access to higher education, aligning with government goals to develop human capital and improve citizens' well-being.
