Kuala lumpur: BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has assured that he will ensure that the Johor State Government moves in line and provides full support to the federal government if it is given a mandate in the Johor state election. Ahmad Zahid, who is also UMNO president, emphasized the importance of political stability, particularly when victory is achieved with a larger number of seats and majority.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid stated that the BN administration at the state level does not intend to challenge the central administration in any election campaign. He assured that if given the mandate, the Johor state government will continue to collaborate with the central government for the benefit of the people of Johor. This statement was made at the Johor State Kemas Staff Meeting at Pontian MARA Junior Science College.

He expressed the expectation that a future Johor Government would remain aligned with the central government in Putrajaya.
He also cautioned against manipulating political sentiment by suggesting that voters need to select representatives from a specific group to ensure harmony with the central government. He urged for a mature democratic process during the 14-day campaign period to elect representatives who can enhance stability and development in Johor.
Furthermore, Ahmad Zahid acknowledged the efforts of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and governmental bodies in ensuring a smooth and secure election process.
