Johor bahru: Former Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba is confident that his extensive experience as a two-term elected representative in the Pasir Raja constituency will help him gain the support of voters in the 16th Johor State Election. Dr Adham, who was announced today as the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Pasir Raja state seat, said his close relationship with local residents will also be one of his strengths as he seeks to win the hearts of voters.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Adham expressed his belief in offering his experience and the strong relationships maintained over the years. He emphasized his familiarity with many voters as a former representative of the Pasir Raja state seat and as the Tenggara UMNO division chief. Regarding the development agenda he aims to pursue if given the mandate, Dr Adham highlighted the importance of strengthening the higher education and skills training sectors in the constituency. His political career includes serving as the Pasir Raja assemblyman from 2008 to 2018, winning the Tenggara parliamentary seat in the 14th and 15th General Elections, and previously holding the positions of Minister of Health and Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.
