Johor Government Offers Free Tickets to SBJ Athletes for Piala Sumbangsih Final

Johor bahru: The Johor government has announced that it will provide free tickets to athletes participating in the 2025 Bangsa Johor Games (SBJ) to watch the final match of the 2025-2026 Piala Sumbangsih. The match will be contested between the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) team and the Selangor team.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi disclosed this initiative as a token of appreciation for the athletes’ contributions to the success of the games. The tickets for the match, scheduled to take place at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium (SSI) on August 8, can be obtained by the athletes through their respective assemblymen.

In his address during the opening of the two-day SBJ Games at the Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre (TMIYC), Onn Hafiz encouraged the athletes to attend the match, emphasizing the significance of their presence at the stadium. He also highlighted that the SBJ Games, initiated last year, are part of an annual effort led by the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, aimed at promoting youth engagement in constructive activities and fostering unity among the people of Johor.

The Regent’s vision, as articulated by Onn Hafiz, is to see the youth of Johor advance by participating in beneficial activities, pursuing education, and securing employment opportunities. To support these objectives, the state government has allocated over RM1.7 million for the sports event.

Additionally, Mohd Hairi Mad Shah, the State Youth, Sports, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Committee chairman, remarked that the SBJ Games serve as a crucial platform for identifying and nurturing new sports talents among the youth, thus empowering them to become influential competitors in the sporting world.
