Johor bahru: The Johor State Government is confident it will achieve its five-year target of building 30,000 units under the Johor Affordable Housing (RMMJ) scheme by the fourth quarter of 2026, following positive progress in the project so far. State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor said that, to date, 20,100 units have been built and the keys handed over to their respective owners.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the remaining 9,900 units are expected to be completed within the stipulated timeframe and according to the construction schedule. Mohd Jafni noted that the 20,100 units already constructed cover almost the entire district, with 15,000 units built in urban areas such as Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang, Tebrau, Kulai, and Kota Iskandar.
