Johor: The Johor state government has allocated more than RM30 million for the implementation of the Bantuan Bakul Kasih Johor programme, which is expected to benefit over 550,000 needy families statewide.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi stated that the initiative was implemented to help ease the daily expenses of people affected by cost-of-living pressures amid global economic uncertainty. The food baskets comprise basic daily necessities such as rice, wheat flour, sugar, and other essential items.
Onn Hafiz emphasized that the Bakul Kasih Johor initiative is channelled as a small effort to help ease the burden, particularly for those in need. He shared this in a Facebook post today, following a working visit to the Tangkak and Muar districts where he personally delivered assistance to recipients.
Onn Hafiz expressed hope that the contribution could help ease the daily financial burden of the families involved. He affirmed that the state government would continue efforts to safeguard the welfare of the people, ensuring that every Bangsa Johor family enjoys a more prosperous life.
