JDT Coach Munoz Calls for Improvement After Narrow Victory Against Melaka

Stadium hang jebat: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) FC head coach Xisco Munoz is relieved to walk away with three points against Melaka FC at Stadium Hang Jebat here last night, saying his side could have played better.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Munoz acknowledged that JDT controlled large parts of the match and created several clear attacking opportunities while maintaining defensive aggression in the 2-1 win in the Super League match. He expressed that while securing the three points was crucial, there is room for improvement in the team's performance regarding their behavior and style.

Munoz emphasized the importance of learning from the match and focusing on finishing the season strongly, with JDT still facing major challenges including the Shopee Cup campaign and the Malaysia Cup final. He highlighted the significance of maintaining momentum and positive feelings as the team heads into the closing stages of the season, aligning with the expectations and standards of the club.

On the upcoming Shopee Cup, Munoz stated that JDT are determined to advance as far as possible, ensuring the team is well-prepared to reach the final in optimal condition. With JDT firmly at the top of the Super League with 64 points, they continue to aim for strong results in their remaining matches, while Melaka FC holds 11th place with 17 points.
