Accra:Jati Tinggi Group Bhd (JTGroup) assures stakeholders that its business operations are steady, with no significant changes in its operations or project execution despite recent market fluctuations.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company noted that its share price has experienced a decline, coinciding with broader market instability impacting technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and data center-related sectors. This market sentiment is attributed to growing concerns about global AI infrastructure investments and financing needs.
The stock price of JTGroup fell 29 percent to RM1.00 from an opening price of RM1.40, leading to a suspension of intraday short selling.
JTGroup stated that Malaysia's power infrastructure sector benefits from continued investments, particularly through Tenaga Nasional Bhd's RM42.8 billion capital expenditure under Regulatory Period 4. The sector's growth is further propelled by increasing electricity demand from data centers, industrial growth, and renewable energy integration.
The group remains dedicated to its primary focus on power infrastructure engineering, which includes the installation of underground cables, overhead transmission lines, substations, and related electrical infrastructure. JTGroup aims to execute its current projects promptly and enhance its capabilities to seize opportunities in Malaysia's ongoing power infrastructure development.
