Jenagor: Islam and Malay rights have been protected under the Unity Government, stated Asyraf Wajdi during the opening of the Hulu Terengganu UMNO division delegates meeting 2025. He emphasized the efforts made by the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, and cabinet ministers over the past 30 months since UMNO joined the Unity Government to uphold the Islamic agenda.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Asyraf Wajdi, who also serves as the MARA chairman, addressed the delegates and members gathered at the meeting. He highlighted the challenges faced by UMNO, urging members to actively counter slanderous narratives that seek to create division within Malaysia’s multiracial society. He attributed these narratives to those envious of UMNO’s significant role within the Unity Government.
The event, held in Jenagor, saw the presence of notable figures including Terengganu UMNO chairman Datuk Rozi Mamat. Asyraf Wajdi’s remarks come at a crucial time, as the party works to strengthen its position and maintain harmony within the country’s diverse population.
