IPR Benefits 7,787 Households After Almost Three Years Of Implementation

The people's income initiative (ipr) programme has benefitted 7:f-living burden on the people.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ministry highlighted that the IPR programme has received a highly encouraging response and yielded impressive results. To date, 7,787 households have benefitted from this initiative. The ministry noted in a written reply published on the parliament website that some participants have managed to earn a monthly income of more than RM2,000, thus helping to bring them out of the poverty trap.

The reply was in response to a question from Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal (PN-Machang), who inquired about the success and effectiveness of the IPR after nearly three years of its implementation, as well as the usage of the Main Data Base (PADU) in the country's economic policy.

Regarding PADU, the ministry stated that 204 agencies have engaged in continuous data sharing and integration with PADU. As of June 2026, 27 data sharing applications from government agencies have been approved for the implementation of programmes and policies aimed at improving the effectiveness of public service delivery, enhancing the well-being of the people, fostering service digitisation innovation, as well as supporting studies and research.
