Kuala lumpur: IJM Corporation Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, IJM Construction Sdn Bhd, has secured a letter of award (LOA) valued at RM873.9 million from Pearl Computing Malaysia Sdn Bhd. This contract involves undertaking the mechanical and electrical (M and E) fit-out works for a hyperscale data centre located in Elmina Business Park, Selangor.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the project will encompass the supply and installation of various critical systems including mechanical, electrical, security, and telecommunication systems and services. The initiative also involves comprehensive coordination and commissioning of all associated systems, services, and equipment. Additionally, it includes the provision of office furniture and equipment for the data centre.

The contract, which is a build-only agreement, is set to begin construction in the third quarter of 2026 and is anticipated to be completed by the first quarter of 2028. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the revenue and earnings of IJM Group starting from the financial year 2027.
