Kuala lumpur: Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY), the newly formed Malaysian entity under Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), has launched three car models — Staria, the new Tucson, and the all-new Santa Fe — to strengthen its footprint in Malaysia. HMY managing director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen stated that these models are designed to meet the versatile needs of Malaysians, offering feature-rich and comfort-driven mobility.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, each model was strategically chosen to provide more space, smarter technology, and a safer, more connected driving experience for Malaysian drivers. The newly launched Staria, Tucson, and Santa Fe are priced starting from RM179,888, RM143,888, and RM225,000, respectively.

The Staria model targets a broad customer base, accommodating large families, executive transport, and lifestyle needs with its three variants: Style (10-seater), Prime (10-seater), and Prestige (seven- and 10-seater). Hyundai has also introduced a hybrid variant of the Tucson for the first time in Malaysia, featuring a sporty design and significant upgrades to its cabin, connectivity, and powertrain.

The all-new Santa Fe offers six-seater and seven-seater configurations, aiming to provide Malaysian families with flexible space, premium features, and advanced safety for everyday driving.

Young Lee, executive vice-president of HMC’s global operation division, emphasized that the launch of HMY represents a commitment to delivering world-class service and quality to Malaysian customers. He expressed anticipation for supporting customers with enhanced service standards and products tailored to their needs.

The statement highlighted HMY’s goal to expand its service footprint to 25 authorized outlets by 2030, improving accessibility for customers nationwide. Additionally, HMY is celebrating its entry into the Malaysian market by offering exclusive benefits. The first 100 customers will receive free service maintenance up to eight times, including labor and parts. Furthermore, new vehicles will come with an eight-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty and free maintenance labor up to four times, reaffirming Hyundai’s commitment to exceptional customer care.
