Kangar: The HASiL Your Tax Buddy (HYTB) 2025 @ IPT programme enhances efforts to promote tax education awareness among the younger generation and boost tax compliance down the road. Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (HASiL) Perlis Director Akmal Mat Said said the programme is conducted in a casual and interactive format, providing university students with early exposure to tax responsibilities and delivering essential tax-related information.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Akmal Mat Said highlighted that the programme is one of HASiL’s strategic initiatives that emphasises the importance of early tax education for the younger generation. “It is hoped that this effort will nurture awareness and improve tax level compliance within society in the future,” he stated in a statement today.
The statement was issued in conjunction with the HYTB Programme held at Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (PTSS) here, officiated by Akmal. Dr Isyati Suparman, PTSS Deputy Director of Academics, was also present. The HYTB programme, themed ‘Edutainment’ at PTSS, featured sharing sessions on tax fundamentals conducted in a relaxed atmosphere.
