Hussein Omar’s Experience Key To Leading JSJN Amid Complex Challenges – IGP

Bukit aman: Datuk Hussein Omar Khan’s strong background in criminal investigations is seen as key to effectively leading the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (JSJN) amid growing and complex challenges, said Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail. Mohd Khalid stated that Hussein’s appointment as the new JSJN director reflects the top leadership’s confidence in his extensive experience and capabilities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Khalid expressed confidence that, with his solid background, Hussein will lead and further strengthen JSJN’s role in addressing the changing landscape of narcotics crime. He is also expected to effectively drive the department’s human capital towards consistent and high-quality service delivery. These remarks were made during the handover ceremony for the position of JSJN director and chairperson of the JSJN Police Family Association (PERKEP) at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess in Bukit Aman.

The IGP also witnessed the handing over of duties and the ceremonial baton from outgoing acting JSJN director Datuk Mat Zani @ Mohd Salahuddin Che Ali to Hussein. The event was also attended by Deputy IGP Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay. In his address, Mohd Khalid called on all members of the police force to uphold the values of cooperation, integrity, and professionalism in their duties.

He emphasized the importance of strictly following all rules and directives to ensure excellent service delivery, stating that the force will not tolerate any form of misconduct that could tarnish PDRM’s image.
