Bagan datuk: HSS Engineers Bhd's (HEB) associate company, HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd (HSSI), has been appointed as the project management consultant for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a data centre in Bagan Datuk, Perak, valued at RM22 million.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company disclosed in a Bursa Malaysia filing that HSSI received a letter of appointment from Silver Streams Technofarm Sdn Bhd. The services provided by HSSI will encompass overall project management, design management, programme and schedule management, cost and contract administration, change management, construction and site management, quality assurance and quality control, and full construction supervision.

HSSI will collaborate exclusively with HSS Engineering Sdn Bhd (HSSE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of HEB, to execute and complete these services under an exclusive teaming arrangement. The services are expected to positively influence the revenue, earnings, and net assets of the HEB group for the financial years ending December 31, 2026, to December 31, 2027.

The company stated that the services will not impact the share capital or shareholding structure of HEB and will be funded through internally generated funds and/or external borrowings. The project is set to commence in December 2025, with an estimated completion date in June 2027.
