Kuala Lampur:According to BERNAMA News Agency, HERE Technologies and NIO Inc have expanded their partnership to enhance intelligent navigation and AI-driven driving experiences throughout Europe. This collaboration now includes a wider range of NIO's European vehicle lineup, such as the ET5, ET7, EL6, EL7, and EL8 models, extending beyond the previously included Firefly model.

NIO will integrate HERE's streaming map capabilities to ensure continuously updated map content in European markets. These updates will reflect changes in road networks, traffic regulations, and points of interest, thereby improving navigation accuracy for drivers.

Deon Newman, HERE Technologies' Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific, stated that this partnership will aid NIO's growth in Europe by providing region-specific mapping and navigation technologies. Chris Chen, NIO's Vice President of Global Business Development, emphasized that the collaboration will offer drivers enhanced map experiences while supporting advancements in intelligent navigation and assisted driving.

The partnership combines HERE's mapping expertise with NIO's smart electric vehicle technologies to advance assisted driving functions tailored for European roads. The companies plan to further explore the integration of location intelligence and map data in AI-driven driving, including innovations like NIO World Model and Navigation on Autopilot (NOA).
