HELP University Explosion: Two Students Still Receiving Treatment After Gas Leak

Bukit damansara: Two HELP University students who were injured in the air conditioning gas explosion at the university's campus are still receiving treatment at the hospital, while two others have been discharged.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, HELP University stated that six additional individuals who were also injured in the incident have been discharged from the hospital. The university authorities are maintaining close contact with the students, staff, and families involved, ensuring they receive all necessary support during their recovery.

HELP University has expressed its support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's call for a thorough investigation into the incident. The university is committed to working with authorities, building owners, and management companies to determine the facts and review safety protocols.

The university acknowledged the support from students, family members, and colleagues, both locally and internationally, who have offered encouragement to the families of the four students injured. In a social media post on X, Anwar called for an immediate investigation to identify the cause of the explosion that occurred on Monday.

Following the incident, media reports confirmed that one man died and nine others were injured in the explosion. The deceased was identified as Soo Yu Juan, 24, a third-year student pursuing Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).
