Heavy Rain, Thunderstorm Warning In KL, Putrajaya, 11 States Until 7 Pm Today

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and 11 states until 7 pm today. MetMalaysia, in a statement, advised residents and authorities in these areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure safety.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning includes Perlis and specific regions in Kedah such as Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. In Penang, areas like Seberang Perai Selatan are also expected to experience similar weather conditions.

The adverse weather is predicted to affect Perak in the Kerian region, with Pahang experiencing it in Raub, Bentong, Bera, and Rompin. Selangor is also on alert, particularly in Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang. The entire state of Negeri Sembilan, as well as Melaka and parts of Johor including Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, and Mersing, are expected to face these conditions.

In Sarawak, areas such as Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Tatau), Miri (Subis), and Limbang are likely to be affected. Similarly, in Sabah, the interior regions like Sipitang, Tenom, and Nabawan, along with the West Coast (Ranau), Tawau (Tawau and Lahad Datu), and Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Sandakan) are under warning.
