Kuala lumpur: HE Group Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary, Hexatech Engineering Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of intent (LOI) to proceed with the supply and installation of 275-kilovolt (kV) electrical works for a data centre in Johor, valued at approximately RM47 million.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the electrical engineering services provider made this announcement in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, stating that Hexatech Engineering accepted the LOI, which is dated August 7, 2026, on the current day. The project, inclusive of a six per cent service tax (SST), is part of a strategic plan to expand their services in the region.

The filing did not disclose the name of the client commissioning the data centre project. HE Group indicated that the formal contract for the project is anticipated to be finalised and executed by the third quarter of 2026. A future announcement will be made regarding the execution of the formal contract, providing further details on the project's timeline and scope.
