Setiawangsa:Resident Muhammad Syahir Azali, 35, is deeply troubled watching his nine-year-old daughter struggle with severe breathing issues, feeling powerless as she suffers from chest tightness and pain.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Syahir recalls the distressing experience when his daughter, Puteri Hannah Amelia, was hospitalised for five days due to worsening breathing difficulties during a haze incident. Initially, she was taken to a clinic after coughing for two days, but her condition deteriorated, leading to severe chest pain and breathing problems.
Doctors diagnosed her with a mycoplasma infection and bronchitis, both linked to haze exposure. The hospitalisation resulted in nearly RM10,000 in medical expenses. This marked the first instance of Puteri Hannah being hospitalised because of haze-related health issues. Her condition prevented her from attending school, and she was advised to wear a face mask constantly, even indoors.
