HARDWORK PAYS OFF FOR THREE BEST CADET OFFICERS

Nine months of gruelling training finally paid off for three graduates when they were named the best cadet officers at the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) cadet officer commissioning ceremony here today.

Second Lieutenant Nur Aisyah Yaacob, who was named the best cadet officer for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), said that she faced various challenges adding that when it comes to training, there is no difference between men and women as everybody undergoes the same laborious drill.

“During the first three months of training, I struggled for a bit and had to adapt. However, since I also like extreme activities and sports, I channel all that passion into training.

“…the support of my superiors, family and friends made me strong and want to give my best to complete the course…discipline is also important,” she told Bernama after the commissioning parade ceremony and presentation of appointment letters to the Malaysian Armed Forces cadet officers 2023 at Perdana Camp, Sungai Besi here, today.

Nur Aisyah, 27, who is an engineering graduate from Universiti Tenaga Nasional said her passion for extreme activities led her to join MAF although she had no intention to do so initially.

The best naval cadet officer, Second Lieutenant Muhammad Danish Haiqal Abdul Nasir, 24, said his family had inspired him to join the navy.

“This success would not have been possible without the prayers of my family and friends who have been a source of encouragement for me to continue to succeed,” said Haiqal who will continue the course at the KD Sultan Idris 1 camp in Perak.

Muhammad Danish Haiqal who is the youngest of two siblings said seeing his uncle wearing the uniform had sparked his interest to serve the country through MAF.

Second Lieutenant Muhammad Saddiq Hussaini Rasidi, 27, who was named the best cadet officer of the Malaysian Army said his team leader provided a lot of support while portraying leadership qualities that should be emulated.

“The leadership attitude of the team leader ignites my passion to be the best cadet officer and the priority now is to give my best,” he said.

The commissioning ceremony was graced by the Sultan of Kedah Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah.
