Hannah Congratulates Thiyagaraj On KL Advisory Board Appointment

Kuala lumpur: Federal Territories Minister Hannah Yeoh today congratulated former prison officer S. Thiyagaraj on his appointment to the Kuala Lumpur City Advisory Board: Hannah said she hoped Thiyagaraj would carry out his duties with dedication for the benefit of city residents.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hannah expressed her confidence in Thiyagaraj's ability to execute his role as a board member effectively. She emphasized the importance of integrity, professionalism, and commitment in his new position, which involves providing views and advice to the Mayor for the benefit of city residents.

The minister had earlier witnessed the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Seri Fadlun Mak Ujud, presenting Thiyagaraj with the appointment letter. She highlighted the crucial function of the Kuala Lumpur City Advisory Board in advising the Mayor on issues related to city administration and development.

Hannah noted that each board member has a significant responsibility in strengthening city governance. This includes making the administration more efficient, transparent, and responsive to public needs.

According to Hannah, Thiyagaraj's career with the Prisons Department spanned from 2005 to 2023, during which he served as an Assistant Superintendent of Prisons in the Technical Intelligence and Investigation Unit.
