According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) highlighted that the Halal Home Grown Champion - Sourcing Partnership 2.0 is a targeted intervention programme aimed at supporting local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in their growth efforts. The initiative underscores the government's commitment to bolstering local businesses in the halal industry.

The ministry also announced plans for the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2026, set to be held from September 23 to 26 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. This event, recognized as the world's largest halal trade show, will feature 2,400 exhibition booths and is expected to create significant business opportunities for more than 1,000 local MSMEs.
