Kangar: Halal certification can enhance consumer confidence, strengthen brand reputation, and open wider market opportunities for entrepreneurs, said Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail. He emphasized that obtaining halal certification reflects entrepreneurs' commitment to ensuring their products and services comply with Islamic requirements while adhering to established quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra urged entrepreneurs in the state to seize the opportunity to obtain halal certification as a strategic move to strengthen business competitiveness. He highlighted the importance of viewing halal certification as an act of worship, carried out with sincerity and upheld with integrity and accountability. These remarks were made during the state-level T.A.A.T Zone Recognition Programme and Malaysia Halal Certification 2026 event, which was also attended by Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra further mentioned that authorities should continue to play a proactive role in facilitating entrepreneurs' efforts to encourage greater participation in halal certification applications, thereby strengthening the halal ecosystem in Perlis. He expressed hope that Perlis would continue to serve as an example in developing the country's halal ecosystem. The T.A.A.T Zone campaign aims to raise awareness among food premise operators to practice the values of Tayyibah, Amanah, 'Afiyah, and Taharah before applying for Malaysia Halal Certification.
