Hack The Box Unveils AI Platform to Evaluate Security Agents’ Effectiveness

Kuala Lampur:Hack The Box (HTB) has launched the AI Range Enterprise Edition, a pioneering platform designed to test and measure the effectiveness of artificial intelligence (AI) security agents for enterprise security teams.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, This new platform allows organizations to assess whether their AI agents can fulfill assigned cybersecurity roles, enabling them to make informed decisions about deploying these agents across their workforce. HTB Founder and CEO Haris Pylarinos emphasized the necessity for leaders to be confident in both AI agents and human expertise in managing cybersecurity tasks.

HTB initially introduced AI Range in December 2025, marking it as the first platform to test AI security agents within controlled cyber environments. Since its launch, it has been subjected to rigorous testing by AI labs, government entities, and large-scale technology companies.

The enhanced AI Range Enterprise Edition includes a role-based appraisal process that teams can use to evaluate their agents, incorporating Agentic Worker Competence and Agentic Operator Competence Scoring. These methodologies assess whether AI agents can perform specific tasks to expected standards and evaluate the judgment behind AI-assisted tasks through practical cybersecurity scenarios.

HTB also stated that the platform offers role-based scores, pass-or-fail outcomes for individual environments, and performance tracking over time. The company continuously updates environments to reflect new vulnerabilities and attack patterns, ensuring the appraisal's integrity. Organizations can conduct repeated appraisals to monitor changes in performance as agents, models, and operating conditions evolve.
