Great Eastern Takaful Unveils New Logo in 15th Anniversary Celebration

Kuala lumpur: Great Eastern Takaful Berhad (GETB) has unveiled a refreshed corporate logo on Tuesday, marking a new phase of transformation as the family takaful operator commemorates its 15th anniversary. Founded on Dec 10, 2010, Great Eastern Takaful has evolved into a trusted family takaful provider that continues to protect families, empower communities and contribute meaningfully to Malaysia's socio-economic development.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this year saw a significant moment in GETB's history with the introduction of a refreshed corporate logo, which underscores its evolution into a forward-thinking, data-driven, and future-ready organization. The new logo signifies a unified brand identity across the Great Eastern Group, reflecting its commitment to innovation and purpose within the Shariah-compliant financial sector.

In 2025, Great Eastern Takaful demonstrated resilient performance across its core business segments, bolstered by its expanding agency force, which ranks as the second-largest in new recruits among takaful operators. Strategic distribution alliances with long-standing banks and institutional partners have deepened its market reach while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and trust.

Product innovation remains a central growth driver for GETB, with the introduction of customer-centric takaful solutions such as i-Great Majestik, i-Great Chinta, and i-Medi Evolusi Rider, catering to evolving needs in health, protection, education, legacy, and retirement. These products ensure relevance across different life stages, contributing to the organization's recognition as the Best Takaful Provider by The BrandLaureate BestBrands Awards 2025.

GETB's commitment to advancing financial literacy is evident through its record-breaking initiatives, earning two Malaysia Book of Records recognitions. These include a 24-hour non-stop digital financial literacy engagement and the largest interactive financial Kahoot! session in the country.

Additionally, Great Eastern Takaful continues its service to the nation through mySalam, Malaysia's health protection scheme, which has provided protection to over 1.8 million Malaysians, with claims payouts exceeding RM1.33 billion as of November 2025. This initiative underscores the organization's dedication to inclusive protection for B40 and underserved communities.

Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) remain pivotal to Great Eastern Takaful's 2025 agenda. The company drives environmental stewardship through upcycling initiatives, recycling programs, and environmental awareness campaigns. Moreover, it empowers employees to actively contribute to sustainability outcomes.

The Great Innovation Challenge, a national competition across Malaysian universities, further strengthens this commitment by encouraging practical, AI-driven, and future-ready solutions from young minds. Throughout the year, GETB has enhanced education access, improved the quality of life for the underprivileged, and supported infrastructure improvements for underserved communities, including a large-scale outreach in Pulau Bum Bum, Sabah.

GETB Chief Executive Officer Shahrul Azlan Shahriman emphasized that this year's achievements reflect the organization's direction, driven by product launches, record financial literacy initiatives, and sustainability efforts. "Financial literacy, innovation, and sustainability are not add-ons to our business; they are essential to build resilient individuals, families, and communities," Shahriman stated, acknowledging the dedication of GETB's people, the strength of its partnerships, and the trust Malaysians have placed in the organization.
