Government to Implement Early Measures to Safeguard Economic Stability Amid West Asia Conflict

Kuala lumpur: The government will immediately implement several proactive and thorough early intervention measures to maintain the country's economic resilience amid the conflict in West Asia. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that this was one of the key decisions made during the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) meeting, which he chaired to assess the latest geopolitical developments, global economic pressures, and security implications arising from the conflict.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that the government is also mobilizing efforts to secure energy supplies by diversifying sources and exploring alternative routes to mitigate reliance on risky paths, such as the Strait of Hormuz. Despite the ongoing festive Aidilfitri atmosphere, Anwar reiterated that the well-being of the people, especially concerning the cost of living, remains a primary focus for the MADANI Government.

Anwar, who also holds the position of Finance Minister, assured that the government will continue to closely monitor the conflict situation in West Asia, ensuring that information is promptly provided to the public. Facing these challenges, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of maintaining calmness, discipline, and a spirit of unity to ensure the country remains stable and resilient.
